Antique Early 1900’s Postcard Album, Souvenir Collection of 300 Midwest Cards, #844
This antique, early 1900’s souvenir postcard album holds 300 black & white and full color postcards received by one lady and her brother that lived on a rural Beaver Dam Wisconsin farm. Please note that the cover spine is loose and hanging by a couple threads. The inside pages are in fair condition with some of the slot openings tore but mostly ok. The pages in the front seem to be more worn than the pages near the back. Most of the cards have correspondence and postage stamps on the flip side from early 1900's to mid 1900's. The cover is in rough shape, but you could display it because it has a shabby charm all of its own.
The first 25 pages have scenery / building, and the remaining 25 pages are holiday cards.
Most of the scenery, buildings and landscape cards are from the Midwest and Upper Midwest. Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, Illinois with cities of Beaver Dam, Mayville, Horicon, Portage, Whitewater, Fox Lake, Tomahawk, Milwaukee to name just a few.
Holiday cards consist of Christmas 1910, 1912, Happy New Year 1912-1920, Easter and Happy Birthday in the time frames.
This album has 50 pages with 6 cards per page totaling 300 in all. It currently has 50 full pages with 3 cards per side.
Dimensions are 11" x 9 1/4" x 2" thick.
