This unique piece is a vintage tie rack or small towell rack dating from the early 20th century (approx. 1900s–1940s). Vintage wood burned indian logo with the words West Allis Wisc.
Native American tribes were near the West Allis area in the 1600 to 1800 era. Potawatomi and Ho -Chunk were two of these that used this area for hunting and trade before it became settled.
This is a vintage small rack with the original finish and braided string.
The string could be removed and the rack fastened to the wall with two fasteners.
Rack is 17.5 inches long with hanging area of 8 inches. Protrudes from the wall 2 inches.
